We are glad to report success in our bid for funds for the Junior Lincolnshire
Poacher. Lincolnshire County Council have granted our bid in full and we have
already ordered a 'Starter Kit' from Sportident. This will enable us to run the
JLP as a full E-punching event, with electronic timing, splits for each leg and a
print out for each competitor as they finish. Halo will be supplementing the grant
with extra funds, to take account of the shortfall in capital expenditure and
mapping/planning expenses.
We have other bids in to increase the number of electronic control boxes,
so we could run two courses and also to run a Championship event for the schools
involved in the Caistor Grammar Schools Partnership.
